About the workshop:
Join this in-depth workshop to help you up your cinematography game, focusing on the cinematographer’s workflow. Award-winning cinematographer Eve Cohen will lead the workshop and discuss the entire production process. You’ll get to ask Eve questions, and meet and mingle other cinematographers. The workshop will be followed by mingling (plus free pizza and drinks :)).
Cinematographers are responsible for conveying emotion and meaning through images. It’s a challenging role that—when done well—involves far more than meets the eye! We’ll talk about everything the cinematographer needs to do in order to take a project from A to Z…starting with taking a script and breaking it down for technical, subtextual, and character concerns from a visual perspective. Eve will incorporate real-world examples from her years as a working cinematographer. The event will start with a 90-minute workshop, followed by an hour of mingling, drinks, and snacks. KitSplit and Zeiss are co-hosting the event. A Zeiss representative will be present after the event to display + and answer questions about Zeiss lenses.
