We’re very excited for the Cine Gear LA Expo, May 30-June 2nd. In the spirit of this annual event, we are celebrating some of the most exciting gear on the market. Presenting: The KitSplit Cine Gear 2019 Awards! We are awarding companies that have the most popular gear in our KitSplit rental community. We are also awarding companies that have some of the most anticipated gear of 2019.
Most Popular Gear:
DJI
DJI’s line up of gimbals has been extremely popular with the KitSplit community. Whether you need to capture a smooth moving shot on an Arri Alexa, a Canon C-300, or a Sony a7Sii, DJI has had the right gimbal for the needs of KitSplitters. See what KitSplitters near you have the Ronin 2, Ronin-M, or Ronin-S to see just how effective they can be.
Sony
Sony’s mirrorless full frame cameras Provide 4K video recording in a compact, light weight body. The a7iii and a7Sii have been very popular with KitSplitters.
SmallHD
For KitSplitters who need compact, powerful monitors on camera and in the field, Small HD’s series of five and seven inch monitors are popular. Small HD’s 502 has proven to be a popular on camera monitor. The 702 has proved itself as a versatile on-camera monitor or as the center of a remote monitoring kit. The 703 Bolt has been a very popular option for wireless director’s monitors.
Canon – L Series Lenses
KitSplitters appreciate the range of options available from Canon’s L-Series lenses and they remain a popular item for many renters. From the 35mm, 50mm, and 85mm primes through the L-Series zooms including the 16-35mm, 24-70mm, or 70-200mm and even the more extreme focal lengths like the 300mm and 400mm, KitSplitters have shown they love these lenses.
Quasar Science – Q-LED Rainbow Linear LED Lamps
LED lamps are very popular but the KitSplit community has show they want more than just daylight and tungsten options. KitSplitters want to be able to harness the full spectrum of the rainbow. Quasar Science’s Q-LED Rainbow Linear LED Lamps in 2 foot, 4 foot, and 8 foot lengths have been quite popular with the community.
Most Anticipated Gear:
Blackmagic Design
When Blackmagic Design announced the Pocket Cinema Camera 4K last year, we were excited. The Pocket Cinema Camera had brought amazing dynamic range and RAW recording to a compact, inexpensive design. Now, the Pocket Cinema Camera 4K promises to bring the same amazing functionality to a compact 4K camera. It was definitely one of the most highly anticipated releases in 2019. Now, it’s here and KitSplitters are already making it available to rent to the community.

Atlas Lens Co.
Atlas’ Orion Anamorphic lenses produce a beautiful Anamorphic image, and the lenses themselves don’t look too bad either. Built to be adaptable between Cinema Cameras like the Arri Alexa, Micro 4/3 cameras, or anything in between, it’s easy to see why these lenses were highly anticipated by the KitSplit community. Look for the A Set with 40mm, 65mm, and 100mm T2 lenses or the B Set with 32mm, 50mm, and 80mm lenses from KitSplitters near you.
Teradek
You’re shooting in 4K, why monitor in 1080 (or less)? Teradek’s upcoming Bolt 4K series will be addressing your wireless monitoring in 4K needs later this year and we’re very excited to see these on KitSplitters sets when they become avialble.
ARRI
The KitSplit community loves the Arri Alexa Mini. An amazing image out of a small package. We are really looking forward to our community to get their hands on Arri’s Alexa Mini LF and have access to Arri’s Large Format sensor with it’s incredible high-dynamic range capabilities in a the compact, light-weight form of the Alexa Mini.

Mole-Richardson
Mole’s 24″ 20K LED had our jaws dropping at NAB this year. With a 20K equivalent output in tungsten or daylight options drawing 3000 watts from two circuits makes this incredible light a lot more accessible to a variety of productions. We can’t wait to see what the KitSplit community produces with it.
We’re really looking forward to Cine Gear LA Expo and seeing what more is in store for the industry. If you’re at Cine Gear, please come and visit us! We’ll be at Booth 206, in the New York Streets area.
