This is the month we’ve all been waiting for. KitSplit is officially launched in Los Angeles and everyone is talking about it. Well, all the coolest people, at least. The KitSplit LA Launch Party!
Today, 11/03, 7pm, FREE

The time has come! We are celebrating our official launch in Los Angeles and you’re invited. There will be food, drink, and some really great swag for early arrivals. The party will be held on the historic patio at El Cid restaurant in Silver Lake. Make sure to RSVP, as this is a private event.

Latin American Film Festival
Friday, 11/17-19, FREE

Two full days of free films made by Latino filmmakers from across the Americas. Hosted by Cal State Northridge, all of the films in this festival have been selected to represent their respective countries for the 2018 Academy Awards. There’s a very good chance that this will be your only opportunity to see many of these films on the big screen in Los Angeles.

And Then They Came for Us — w/ George Takei
Monday, 11/27, 7pm, $25

The story of Executive Order 9066 is a one of the darkest spots on 20th century American history. 120,000 Japanese Americans were forced into prison camps with their families as a direct result of President Roosevelt’s action. “And Then They Came For Us” tells the story of these camps and celebrity actor, activist and Facebook meme legend George Takei will be in discussion with the filmmakers after screening.
