Below, you’ll find several of our favorite recent projects made with KitSplit gear, including a genre-blending music video, a beautiful peak at winter in NYC in VR, and a feature film shot in 4 days.

We love featuring  members of the KitSplit community and projects they’ve created with the gear they’ve either rented to or from other members. Have a #MadeWithKitSplit project you want to share? Tweet it to @kitsplit with hashtag #MadeWithKitSplit or email us!

Blood Orange —Augustine Official Music Video

Kenny Suleimanagich and Jack Pearce, both KitSplitters, were the two cinematographers on Blood Orange’s latest music video. The charming video captures Blood Orange playing instruments in an empty apartment and an assortment of dancers dancing on rooftops and around the city. Kenny used these Zeiss Super Speed Lenses, this Zeiss 11-110mm lens & this easy rig and follow focus among much more! The video has over 1 million views on YouTube, and was featured on Rolling Stone’s website! Kenny’s gear and Jack’s gear is for rent on KitSplit.

New York City Blizzard 360° Video

Not many people have the privilege of enjoying New York City in the middle of a blizzard: it’s an experience unlike any other. Luckily, journalist, filmmaker & KitSplitter Zack Baddorf is here (with his Freedom 360 GoPro Hero Kit, a favorite VR rig among KitSplitters) to capture the whole dreamlike experience in a stunning 360 video for Huffington Post’s RYOT. (We’re a little late on this one, but we hope it keeps you cool on these hot August days!)

CRSHN ON U

From director Mark Rubbo, this surreal take on the perils of online dating is truly mesmerizing and extra creepy! Mark used a Red Epic Dragon, a DJI Ronin, some Rokinon Cine Prime plus some well-played VFX to achieve a cool surreal-noir vibe. After you watch this EDM nightmare date, you can also see how this video was made right here

#humbled Trailer
#humbled is about an ambitious young director leading her cast through a rag tag community theatre production. It’s the first film from 7k Films, an organization that gives grants to filmmakers for ultra low-budget features.
The crew rented a Canon C100 with AF + Zacuto Handheld Rig from KitSplit, and used their own Canon lenses. Check out their post about the production, which only took four days to shoot!
